Loving a New Lens

For a loooonnnnngggg time I have wanted to get a really fast lens. But in the interest of saving money, I settled for excellent quality, but slower lenses. If you know much about photography you know what I am talking about.

This week, I decided to finally give in and purchased my dream lens. A Nikon 70-200 AFS VR II 2.8 lens. And I am  loving shooting with this lens.   I haven’t had a lot of opportunity to shoot it yet, but here are a couple of shots that I took yesterday.

Yeah, that’s right. The first place I took the lens was to a cemetery. But notice the sharpness of the rock and the beautiful our of focus background.

And now for the puppy shot. This is Pepper, one of my wife’s mini Schnauzers. She was posing in the back yard for this shot. I love way that the shallow depth of field adds dimension to this type of shot.

Hopefully I will have more to add later as soon as I get time to play with my new toy. Have a good day and know that Jesus died for you, lives for you and that there is nothing that you can do to make God love you more…….or less.

See ya later.
